Project Andromeda is a classic shoot'em up game set in the Star Wars universe. You play the role of an ace Tie Corps veteran as you battle your way through wave after wave of X-Wings in pure arcade action.
The game is written in C++ using OpenGL for graphic and FMOD for sound/music. It's roughly 10000 lines big (although, the line counter counts comments and white space too so the effective lines of code is somewhat less) and has been in production for several months now, even though not all of them active. This is my first try on making a real game (made a breakout game in the Windows GDI before, but that's all) and while it's nothing too special I'm very satisfied with how it turned out. The complete source code is also available and released under the GPL so that anyone who wish can get it and modify it as they see fit. |

'Star Wars : Fleet Command' is a mod developed for Star Trek Armada II - allowing excellent Real Time Strategy with most ships we know from the Star Wars Universe. This latest version includes the Sovereign, with working grav-wells, updates on existing craft and Star Wars music.
The mod. works for the ST:Armada II demo (86.9Mb) already, available at http://download.com.com/3000-2119-8023164.html?tag=lst-1-11 but offers best performance on the full game. The demo includes the one Single Player mission of the Rebel Campaign. It also includes one map that can be played in either Instant Action (Skirmish) or Multi-player. In the Single Player mission you play as the Rebellion. In Multi-player or Instant Action you can play as either the Rebellion or the Empire. For the demo you will only be able to play Multi-player via the Internet on GameSpy. |
