Background

Was primarily built by Damorian Manufacturing Corporation about 60 years before the Battle of Endor and served as a freighter under the name "Jewel of Naboo" till around the time of the Battle of Yavin - when it got severely damaged in a pirate raid.

Was towed to the Naval Base at Bt.Geux IX and was left there till right after the Battle of Endor, when it was rebuilt by the Base Engineers using parts of all available ships to allow the bomber squadron based at that Base to escape a siege of Calamari Warships. It was renamed "the Luggage" because of its resemblance to the speeder bike saddlebags of the squadron's commander. While prone to constant failure, it did get the squadron back to Coruscant in one piece - where it was sold to a ship dealer at scrap metal prices.

A sentimental member of the Bomber Squadron returned to buy it back from the ship dealer, saving it from getting scrapped at twice the price. The former Bomber pilot took to using it as a smuggler's ship, as which it served till the pilot got caught by Emperor's Hammer forces - among which one of his former squadron mates, who was still flying TIE Bombers for the Empire, then Lieutenant Commander Ender mBind.
Owing his life on several occasions to the Bomber-pilot-turned-smuggler, LCM mBind used his squadron's pool money to bail out his friend, who in return gave him "the Luggage"... with a hyper dive that had been burned out in an attempt to escape the Interdictor that caught it.

On a completely unofficial mission, officially approved by FO Kyle Kessler, into Rebel Territory Ender mBind and two of his Krayt Squadron companions retrieved a working hyper drive from the wreck of a Corellian Corvette - restoring the ship to full functionality, but also crashing into several rebel fighters and an asteroid, heavily damaging one of the hangars, which was repaired with the parts of the A-Wings and other plating.

Since that time, "the Luggage" has seen more combat action then many of the actual battleships of the fleet, often performing as a pocket carrier for squadrons of fighters without hyper drives, or for long range missions - usually commandeered by the superiors of its owner, some times offered voluntarily. It is continuously retooled and under repair.
